“… a fine pianist… Her playing was distinguished by its poetic thoughtfulness. The Scarlatti sounded sensuous and piquant. Miss Kennedy’s playing sounded committed and persuasive.” - The New York Times
The documentary film Matthew Kennedy: One Man's Journey was produced and directed by Nina Kennedy, whose father served as director of the Fisk Jubilee Singers for 30 years. Also a Juilliard alum, Dr. Kennedy was director of the group while Lowri Marie was a student. Nina was a child then, but the two musicians have re-appeared in each other's lives to take their artistry to the next level.
